Free support to stop smoking is available in the Scarborough and Ryedale area through SmokefreeLife North Yorkshire, a service commissioned by North Yorkshire County Council.

We know people have busy lives. For many of SmokefreeLife’s clinics you don’t need an appointment. You can drop in and see a fully trained advisor whenever you want, at accessible and out of hours clinics within local community settings, including community centres, leisure centres and GP surgeries. A selection of clinics operate by appointment only, if that suits you better.
SmokefreeLife can give you the option of attending one-to one sessions or group sessions over four weeks, combining fitness activities and access to free Nicotine Replacement Therapy products.
Your advisor will give you information about medications on prescription to help you stop smoking and can assist you in getting a prescription.
If you have mobility problems and would prefer face-to-face support we are able to arrange home visits. Remember quitting is all about finding what works for you!
You’ll also get support via the SmokefreeLife online platform from the comfort of your home or workplace or traditional one to one sessions with an advisor.
