GP services and Community Pharmacy Opening Times – May bank holiday weekends

GP Practices

On Bank Holiday Monday our GP practices will be closed, but medical help and advice is still available. If you urgently need to see a doctor, ring your surgery as normal and your call will be diverted to the out of hours service. Alternatively, for medical assistance you can also dial 111 to get through to the free 24-hour NHS service. In emergencies, always ring 999.

Castle Health Centre is also closed on Bank Holiday Monday, but is open as normal to registered patients during the rest of the bank holiday weekend.

Over the May bank holiday weekends, your usual pharmacy may be closed. However, other local pharmacies will be available (see below for information). Remember to make sure you have enough of your usual medication to cover you over the bank holiday period. For information relating to pharmacies in the Vale of York locality, visit the Vale of York CCG website, here.
