Dr Phil Garnett, local GP and Chairman of NHS Scarborough and Ryedale CCG, said: “Our Governing Body meetings give people an opportunity to gain an insight into local health priorities and spending, along with some of the wider pressures and challenges faced within the local healthcare economy.
“There’s often lively and passionate debate, particular among the GP Governing Body Members, and for residents with an interest in health spending, I would say these meetings are definitely worth coming along to.”
