YORK Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint two associate non-executive directors (NED) - one of whom will have senior clinical leadership experience and the other will have a strong background in complex, transformational or digital change.
NEDs play a critical role in the effective governance of the Trust - providing independence and challenge, as well as support and a total commitment to the enduring values of NHS: the role of NEDs has never been more important.
Susan Symington, Chair, York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said: “Successful applicants are likely to be naturally strategic in their thinking, familiar with complex organisations, energised by change, driven by a desire to provide the very best standards of care to patients and service users, and robust and resilient in their approach to working life.
“We are always interested in meeting applicants from diverse backgrounds who can add different perspectives to our debate at Board.”
If you are interested, you can visit the Trust on Thursday 11 January 2018 between 4-6pm when you can meet NED colleagues, governors and executives informally to discuss the role of a NED in the NHS. Alternatively, you can contact Susan at firstname.lastname@example.org
