York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is running an event on 7 August to try to get local mums involved in the Maternity Voices Partnership.
The Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) is a team of women and their families, commissioners and providers (midwives and doctors) working together to review and contribute to the development of local maternity care.
The event will be hosted in the entrance to Morrisons in Scarborough from 10am to 2pm and the Trust urges all mothers with children under two to come along and chat.
There is a hope to develop a Maternity Voices partnership for the East Coast which currently does not have a service user forum.
Joining the partnership would involve attending meetings and looking at specific pieces of work in relation to how we offer choices to women.
All local women are encouraged to assist in shaping the delivery of maternity services to meet the needs of the local users.
Any women who are interested but cannot attend the event can contact to register their interest to Lynda.email@example.com or Freya.firstname.lastname@example.org.
