The CCG website includes Browsealoud software which can be accessed by clicking on this logo.  The software allows users to access information and documents on our website in the following formats:

  • Text-to-speech with choice of reading speeds and highlighters to enhance reading comprehension
  • Translate web pages into 99 languages; speak translated text aloud in 40 languages
  • On-screen text magnifier helps users with visual impairments
  • MP3 generator converts text to audio files for offline listening
  • Screen mask blocks on-screen clutter, letting readers focus on text being read
  • Web page simplifier removes ads and other distracting content for easier reading
  • Custom settings that are built in to suit individual user needs and preferences

Alternative Formats

On request, the CCG can provide any of our information in a wide range of formats including:

  • large print / different coloured paper or text
  • braille
  • recorded onto a tape
  • alternative language
  • Easy Read

Interpreter Service

To assist you with face to face or telephone contact with us, we can also arrange for you to be supported by:

  • British Sign Language interpreters
  • hearing loops
  • foreign language interpreters (face to face or telephone)
